A Solar ABCs Proposed Standard on: Nameplate, Datasheet and Sampling Requirements of Photovoltaic Modules

November 3, 2pm EST

The Solar America Board for Codes and Standards (Solar ABCs) cordially invites you to attend a free webinar that will provide information about a proposed standard on nameplate, datasheet and sampling requirements of photovoltaic (PV) modules, which was based on the findings from a recently developed Solar ABCs recommended policy report entitled “Photovoltaic Module Power Rating Requirements.” The report developed a Solar ABCs power rating policy statement to establish requirements for the procurement of PV modules for consumers, states, and organizations providing incentives for PV systems in the United States.

The European Community has developed a related standard (EN 50380) titled “Datasheet and nameplate information for photovoltaic modules.” This EN standard details the information that must be supplied with a PV module by the manufacturer. The Solar ABCs has developed a proposed standard into a PV module standard with the text format that would be acceptable to the standard developing organizations (SDO) such as IEEE, ASTM or IEC.

In this free webinar, Govindasamy TamizhMani  and Joseph Kuitche of Arizona State University, as well as Alex Mikonowicz of PowerMark Corporation will provide an overview of the basis for the proposed standard as well as the three major differences from the EN standard.  You will also learn about the overall scope and requirements for the proposed standard including nameplate, datasheet and sampling requirements.
